Corks for terrariums
Wide cork stoppers and lids for glass terrariums, carboys and display globes, in sizes up to 210mm. Cork breathes, which is why it suits a planted terrarium better than a sealed lid.
A cork stopper allows a slow exchange of air and moisture, which keeps a planted terrarium from going stagnant. That is the reason most terrarium makers choose cork over a glass or plastic lid.
A wide cork with too little length will not hold its own weight in the neck. For anything above about 100mm, choose the longer option where there is a choice.
Carboys and demijohns vary widely, and antique glass rarely matches a standard size. We make bespoke corks to order — send us the measurement and we will quote.
